This is a Beatles song by Lennon & McCartney. The Lyrics were written by Brian Ruhe of the Thule Society with music by Stephen Craft. Be sure to check out the Thule Society at www.thulesociety.com . This is a song about a young German man in the 1930’s who tried to join the German SS but didn’t make the cut. He’s disappointed that the SS are leaving on a tour of duty without him.
